FINALLY, IT IS TIME TO DECORATE! I have really needed to restrain myself this year, but I am also one of those people who think Christmas decorations belong to December and not a day before. I remember my mom always decorating on Independence Day (which is tomorrow, by the way), but that has not much effect on my choice of decoration day. I just want to have activities for the whole of December, I guess. And I do not wish to get fed up with the decorations before the actual event starts.
The season in stores starts nowadays really early. I am not against that per se, but I am a bit annoyed that my favourite chocolates have stood there for a year before it is time to get them near Christmas Eve. Or even worse, they have already been sold out! That has happened before.
Back to the decorating efforts. It is my first Christmas in this apartment, so decorations still do not have their usual places. This naturally meant I needed to learn to attach painting hooks to the wall. That was not so simple, by the way. My walls are concrete, and even if I have hooks designed to be used with hard surfaces, putting them there is not easy by any means.
After the concrete adventure was done, I noticed my well-served candelabrum decoration had finally come to an end. It’s time to visit the electronic waste disposal point again. Luckily, my window stars and light string were still functional, even if I really have to get more electric extension cords to get them on.

Decorating was not the only thing I did today. I was honored to be able to talk to young scouts about my profession. At the same time, I was super excited to get to participate in ruining the next generation, and at the same time, I was feeling a bit weird being the responsible adult telling young people about my job. I do not feel as old as I am, which is probably something quite many people of my age or even older feel as well.
In any case, I feel like it is really important to get young people familiar with work life as soon as possible, and these kinds of things are a great way to do that. I am happy I can help with that task as well.
