The most beautiful Christmas songs and decorating the tree.

Today is finally the day: I set up my Christmas tree! This is a bit of a strange tradition for me to set it up this early, to be honest. In my family, we used to bring the tree in and decorate it on Christmas Eve, but since I own a tree nowadays and I am travelling on Christmas, I have decided to set up my own tree here in advance to enjoy it before Christmas and also when I come back home after Boxing Day.

So here it is! This tree is about five years old already. It still looks good, but I can feel its branches are starting to feel a bit weak. I hope it will still serve me for a couple of years before I need to give it up. Like all artificial trees, this one is also stored by packing it up in a much smaller box than it is. The branches need to be spread out every year, which takes some time, but as you can see, the end result is very nice.

What I miss from a real tree, though, is the nice fragrance of nature. Maybe someday I will have that too, but I have decided to use this one as long as it lasts. My decorations are also from the time when I bought the tree itself. Only the glittery balls have started to look a bit aged, but I decided they are good enough to use this year.

Today, there was a Christmas singing event in my local church. It has been years since I last went singing, so I decided this is the year to go check it out again. In the end, I decided to skip since going to the slippery, dark street alone while feeling tired did not feel inviting. It is not easy to live in the city with not that many friends, but I guess one just has to deal with it.

I heated up the sauna instead, which was once again nice.
